Blanc de Chine - Contemporary exhibition is a collaboration with The Scottish Gallery, presenting works from an International line-up of artists who either work solely in Blanc de Chine porcelain or are inspired by a material imbued with a sense of history and tradition. The exhibition includes examples created by artists from Dehua, China and the UK.
Blanc de Chine porcelain has been in production in Dehua, Fujian Province, China since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and Ting-Ying Gallery honours this extraordinary living craft tradition. Ting-Ying Gallery would like to thank The Scottish Gallery for their generous help and input.
