Ting-Ying Gallery is delighted to announce that a number of their gallery artists is featured in the display at the V&A - 'Blanc de Chine, a Continuous Conversation' curated by the V&A's Curator of Asian Department Dr. Xiaoxin Li.
Six international contemporary artists: Babs Haenen, Jeffry Mitchell, Liang Wanying, Lucille Lewin, Peter Ting and Su Xianzhong, whose practices are inspired by Blanc de Chine, retell the story of porcelain-making in Dehua, China. Presenting their work in T.T.Tsui Gallery (China, Room 44) and Ceramics Galleries (Room 146) alongside historical pieces from the V&A's ceramics collections, this display aims to build a bridge between the past and the current, tradition and innovation, and breaking the boundary of Chinese and non-Chinese ceramic practices.
